Baccarat
Baccarat is commonly described as a gentleman's game and while it does have the reputation of being James Bond's card game of choice, it's incredibly simple to play. While poker can leave newcomers to online casinos clueless, Baccarat is both elegant and easy to play, making it one of the top games at online casinos.
Essentially, the rules are as follows; both the player and banker are dealt 3 cards and the one closest to 9 wins. Here's an example of typical Baccarat gameplay:
As you can see, the player (the players cards are located on the left of the table) has won, as their cards are closest to 9. The banker however, has lost, as they only managed to uncover cards to the value of 7. In the centre of the table, you can choose to bet on either the player or the banker, in our example, we have bet on the player so won our £100 bet back, as well as an extra £100 for beating the banker. You can choose to work alongside the online casino, by betting on the banker, or you can choose to 'rebel' as it were, and hope that the casino player wins. If you do bet on the banker then your winnings will be subject to 5% house commission.
Another bet listed on the table is the 'tie bet'. A 'tie bet' is when you bet that both the player and banker will uncover the same value cards, for example, they will both have a hand of 5. If this happens and you have placed a tie bet, then they payout at this particular casino (Intercasino) would be 8:1. While the tie bet pays much better than your usual bet on the player or banker, it is rare that the player and banker will tie.
