Caribbean Stud Poker

Caribbean Stud Poker is a relatively simple version of Poker and great for players who can't separate their "river" from their "blinds". Caribbean Stud Poker is low on poker jargon and offers a fun and easy to follow game. Most online casinos also offer a progressive jackpot, which can be triggered if you uncover one of the two highest card rankings in the game, which adds even more incentive to get playing.

Caribbean Stud Poker is a relatively low skill game, so you don't have to be Doyle Brunson to understand it! Players place their ante bet, then receive their 5 cards. The ante bet is then doubled or tripled if they continue to bet, or gamers can 'surrender' if they have a weak hand and just lose their ante. Players can't change any of their cards, so their hand really is what is in front of them. The dealer will only play if they have either an Ace/King, otherwise the dealer folds and players receive a 1:1 payout on their ante and their bet back. This is usually the rule at most online casinos, but make sure to double check before playing.

If the dealer does have an Ace/King, then whoever has the better poker hand wins. Make sure you consult the following payout guide for different hand rankings, starting from highest to lowest:

  • Royal Flush - also pays out 100% of Progressive Jackpot
  • Straight Flush - also pays out 10% of Progressive Jackpot
  • Four of a Kind
  • Full House
  • Flush
  • Straight
  • Three of a Kind
  • Two Pairs
  • One Pair
  • Nothing

To place a bet on the Progressive Jackpot, place your £1 wager in the progressive slot and make sure the red light indicates your bet is secreted safely in there. If you manage to reveal a Royal Flush or Straight Flush you can then grab either 100% or 10% of the Progressive Jackpot on offer.
